Greatness – DJ Neptune, christened Imohiosen Patrick and born on September 26, 1990, is a Nigerian disc jockey and record producer. He is not just a one-genre DJ; he is a disc jockey blessed with the ears and ability to spin several genres from Afrobeats, Hip Hop, RnB, House Music, to Dancehall, making him a world-class DJ.
In a testament to his prolific status and achievements, he was the first Nigerian DJ to perform at the Historic South By South West [SXSW] Concert held in Austin, Texas, in 2011. He has also handled concerts for brands like 9Mobile (formerly Etisalat), MTN, TheBeatfm, etc. In a similar vein, his award catalog is not empty. In 2009, he was awarded the Best World DJ at the Nigerian Entertainment Award, Best African DJ at the Sound City MVP Awards twice in a row (2018 & 2019).
With several music records to his name, DJ Neptune’s contribution to the Nigerian music scene knows no bounds, as he is not only a disc jockey but also a record producer and A&R. In his catalog are recorded songs featuring several big guns in the world of music such as “1,2,3” featuring MI, Naeto C, and the late Da Grin, “Nobody” featuring Joeboy, etc. He also has two solid albums to his name; “Greatness” released in 2018 and “Greatness 2.0” released in 2021.
DJ Neptune’s ascent is not yet peaked, and this has brought about a partnership with MTN to produce and host the first #MTNLoudInNaijaMixTape, which is currently the most downloaded Mix on the MTN Play website.
